The Royal Book of Oz. By L. Frank Baum. Illustrated by John R. Neill. Chicago: Reilly & Lee. (1921). First edition, mid-1920's printing with caption corrected. Complete with 12 color plates (coated on one side only). Light gray cloth with paper label, 303 pages. Some scraping and fading to lower portion of spine, shelf wear with a chip on top edge, otherwise very good condition. The ownership page is signed in crayon and again in pen, then again in pen on the half-title and verso of frontis. Geez, how many times did this kid have to write his name in the book? Other then that, almost fine internally. A very nice copy overall.
