Underglaze figurine #2913 by Royal Copenhagen, designed by Knud Kyhn in 1928, one of Royal Copenhagen best and most prolific animal sculptors. Discontinued in the mid-1980s. Last US List Price was $495 in 1981; if available new today, it would be more than double that. Approximately 23 x 26 cm (about 10 inches long and 8 ¼ inches tall). Signed with the Royal Copenhagen trademark of three wavy blue lines; a crown surrounded by the words ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK in green; and the painter's mark. First quality, excellent condition. Dating of the back Stamp with a bar below the letter "M" means that it was manufactured or made in 1958; or about 61 years old.
