A vintage Royal Crown Derby "Olde Avesbury" octagonal serving bowl. A classic Royal Crown Derby pattern, "Olde Avesbury" originated from an embroidery pattern by painter Albert Gregory and is adorned with birds of paradise and peacocks with trailing feathers embellished with hand painted 22 carat gold trim.The bowl measures approx. 4"h x 9.75"d and is in excellent condition with no surface scratching fond. Bowl is stamped on back with "Derby China" above crown with interlinked D's above "Royal Crown Derby - English Bone China", "Olde Avesbury" and date code XXVII (1965).
