Beautifully hand-made & hand decorated figure modelled by Shane Ridge specially commissioned by Millennium Collectables. Celebrating the centenary of this superb advertising icon – one of the early pioneers of rail travel. Anyone who has visited Skegness will have been greeted by the large welcome boards as you enter the town featuring “Jolly” and the slogan “Skegness is so bracing” Now, synonymous with Skegness, the Jolly Fisherman started life on a poster with the slogan “Skegness is so bracing”, which has become one of the most enduring tourism posters ever. It was commissioned by the then Great northern Railway to encourage visitors to use their service to take them on their seaside breaks to Skegness! This fun piece would truly be a superb addition to any collection!
