ROYAL DOULTON BALLOON MAN HN 1954 OLD MARK ENGLAND MINT This lovely old figure is a fine example of the excellent pieces produced by Royal Doulton at Stoke on Trent , England long before production was moved overseas . A traditional favourite , The Balloon Man was originally designed by L. Harradine and was first issued in 1940 under model number HN1954 and finally retired from production in 2009 . The piece is offered for sale in perfect condition with no chips cracks or restoration , is fully backstamped Royal Doulton to the base with an older style mark and stands 18.40 cms high . There is no crazing to the glaze and the colours are still strong and vibrant . As with all older Doulton pieces the detail is fantastic on this figure and it would make a lovely addition to any collection . We strive for "Five Star" service!
