For sale is a stunning Royal Doulton 8 place settings dinner service in the 'Matsumai' D1326 pattern.This pattern was produced between 1902-1939 and is now very rare.This really is a rare opportunity to own a complete dinner service in this beautiful pattern.Very rarely,if ever would you find a complete service in this pattern.Pieces do come up occasionally but to buy this set individually it would cost in excess of $3700 and could take years waiting for the pieces to come up for sale.The colours are very much in the Imari palette.The pattern is a white ground decorated with a flowering tree in cobalt,orange and yellow,blue handles and gilt highlights.All of the pieces are stamped and impressed with the lion and crown marks and have the Reg'd number 184294.All of the pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.A few of the plates have some surface scratches due to use.These can only be seen when the plates are held up to the light. Included in the service:- 8 x 10.5" dinner plates. 8 x 7" salad or side plates. 8 x deep rimmed soup bowls. 1 x 9" lidded serving tureen. 1 x 10" lidded serving tureen. 1 x 14" serving platter.
