ROYAL DOULTON DOG HN1013 ROUGH HAIRED (WIRE FOX) TERRIER At auction today we have a beautiful Royal Doulton figurine, HN 1013 of the Rough Haired (Wire Fox) Terrier, Ch. Crackley Startler, also known as Crackley Hunter. This is the somewhat rare medium size (5-1/2" high) of the three sizes of this model, designed by Frederick Daws between the years of 1931-1960, so at the very least, this piece is nearing the half century mark. It is in absolutely pristine condition, free from nicks, chips, cracks and crazing and has been declared "sound" with the aid of a blacklight. The most recent edition of the Charlton Guide for Royal Doulton Animals lists the value of this piece at $400.00 USD and yet our reserve is less than half of that. Treat yourself or somebody special to a true collector's piece which will appreciate in the years to come.
