ROYAL DOULTON KINGS AND QUEENS OF THE REALM William the Conqueror arriving on the shores of England before the Battle of Hastings PN 191 Artwork By Jose Miralles Plate Number 417 (With the Certificate of Authenticity) 10 1/2" This really lovely plate is from Royal Doulton's "Kings and Queens of the Realm" Collectors' Gallery Edition. The Plate is 10 1/2" in Diameter. The Border is Decorated with a number of Heraldic Shields and there's a Broad Gilded Rim. The Centre has a Study of William Duke of Normandy (later William the Conqueror) arriving with his Fleet of Ships at Pevensey near to the town of Hastings on 28th September 1066. He is surrounded by Norman Noblemen and Men at Arms as they prepare for the Invasion. On the Back the Plate has the Royal Doulton Backstamp, together with: Royal Doulton Collectors' Gallery Edition KINGS AND QUEENS OF THE REALM William the Conqueror arriving on the shores of England before the Battle of PN3 This hand-decorated bone china plate is produced from original artwork by Jose Miralles This plate is issued in a worldwide limited edition of 3,500 pieces.
