Royal Flying Corps Flying Helmet WW1 fur-lined. ROYAL FLYING CORPS -pre RAF LEATHER FLYING HELMET Circa 1916. A very nice original helmet, with all poppers, studs, straps and buckles complete. Fitted with "Gosport tubes" on both sides. Classic helmet worn by many of the RFC's most famous aces in World War I. Honestly described as "worn", but NOT "worn out". Please check the pictures. Overseas postage at the higher level to include insurance if the sale price exceeds £20. Please note that the fur lining consists of a strip 3.5 inches wide measured from the base of the helmet (plus, of course, the button-down fur flap at the front). The rest of the helmet is not lined. This can be seen from one of the photos, but I thought I should point it out.
