This is a vintage Royal Futura 800 two-tone grey portable manual typewriter; as you can see, it is very clean inside. The Serial # is 2A4262468. It works well and types 10 characters/spaces per inch which is pica type. It has some nice features--a tab on the front called Magic Column Set, a Touch Control inside (just lift the top), wing-up arms to hold the paper, single/double/triple spacing ability, etc. It will need a new ribbon, common in older machines. Ribbons are easily acquired, very standard; you can try a local stationery store or on line. Also, here's a trick I learned long ago--you can re-roll any new ribbon onto the spools yourself as well. Typewriter comes in a butterscotch-colored case which I believe is leather clad; case is 14 1/4" wide x 13 1/3" deep x 7 1/2" tall. Case is in good vintage condition. As you can see, handle shows some wear.Typewriter and case weigh approx. 19 lbs. PRIOR to being packed carefully for shipment; insurance is included.
