Royal Goedewaagen Delft Tobacco Jar with brass beehive lid commemorating the colony of Maryland. In colonial times, shopkeepers would store their customers' favorite tobacco blends in delft jars. Jar and lid are in perfect condition, having been kept in an enclosed cabinet for the last 25 years or more. It stands approx. 7 1/2 - 8" tall with lid, 5 1/2" without the lid. Made in Holland. The bottom is marked Delft, made in Holland, the company's hallmark, and 200/00. See photo showing hallmark on the bottom of the jar. There are no chips, stains, crazing, or damage of any kind.
