What a fabulous collection of vintage, English, hand painted tea cups and saucers I have purchased this week, each listed with no reserve and a LOW opening bid! Teacups are my specialty so keep an eye on define26 as I add new listings weekly! To see all of my items please . This auction is for a rare 1930s Royal Winton, Atlas Bone China, Cranstone chintz pattern, English bone china cup and saucer which are: in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs each piece rings clearly when pinged the gilding is in excellent condition throughout. The cup measures 4 ½ in. wide including the handle and is 2 ¾ in. tall; the saucer is 5 ½ in. in diameter. This set is unusual within Royal Winton's chintz china production as it represents a rare use of a chintz pattern, in this case Cranstone, on a bone china body. The fluted cup and saucer shapes are also unusual, and not ones found more commonly in the earthenware production. The pattern is fresh and unworn and has been applied to the handle as well as the more usual cup exterior, and saucer surfaces. Check out my other sets, for more floral and gold teacups!
