This is a very RARE and complete Roycroft desk set from around 1909-1910. It includes a pen holder, letter opener, letter holder, and inkwell (no glass). It is in EXCELLENT condition! A gorgeous collector's item!!! The letter holder is 4.25" W x 4.5"H x 3"D. The inkwell is 2.5" in diameter and 2.25" H. The letter opener is 9.25" long. The pen holder is 3"W x 7" long. The inkwell's mark is a smaller "Early Mark variant" that was probably used in the 'craftsman' end of the copper shop w difficult or elaborate hammerings and/or decorations were produced. It usually appears on only the finer pieces from the era 1906-1915. The other mark shown (on the letter holder with the rivets exposed underneath) is the standard Early Mark. The curly down-stroke on the "R" is the key to identifying the Early mark and its variant...all later marks had the straight downstroke.
