RPPC 1914 FALL RIVER, MASS MA SCHRAER'S MEN'S SHOP Search is another rare, unused, divided-back, real photo post card from an old Fall River collection labeled on the back- "Schraer's Mens Store, 385 Columbia St. Fall River, Mass. 1914." T are at least seven men and two boys in the photo standing behind a glass display case containing gloves and shirts. A clothesline display of caps with prices attached hangs overhead. At the right is a revolving display fixture with belts and above it, one for neckties. A small sign on the pole on the right advertised 'Kant-Krack Collars' which were attached to shirt fronts called dickies. No one in the photo is identified. Even the two youngsters, at the left edge and in the middle, appear all dressed up with suits, shirts and ties as if they knew the photographer was coming that day. The address is on the south side of Columbia Street at the corner of Union St. and is today occupied in part by the office of John Carvalho, dentist. This card has extremely minor corner wear and has survived 95 years in excellent condition. Questions? Please email us.
