Ok, after several months of research trying to identify and value everything, it is time to start selling my Mother's ruby glass collection. I used 3 reference books to compare information so I can use the correct terminology and give accurate history and descriptions of each item. My Mother had the Encyclopedia of Victorian Colored Pattern Glass Book 7 Ruby-Stained From A to Z by William Heacock. I went out and purchased The Field Guide To Pattern Glass by Mollie Helen McCain and Early American Pattern Glass Collector's Identification & Price Guide by Darryl Reilly and Bill Jenks 2nd Edition. If I am incorrect in any of my statements regarding pattern, maker, etc. please bear with me and let me know. I will be listing lots of neat pieces over the next couple months so be sure to keep checking back. This is a ruby stained master bowl. According to page 117 of Heacock's book this is the Florene pattern also known as No. 720 Line made by New Martinsville Glass Mfg. Co. It says it was probably introduced in 1913. This large round bowl has no damage anyw The ruby looks bold and beautiful, has reminants of gold gild on the rim. This unique piece measures approximately 3 3/8" tall and 7 7/8" wide. Buyer to pay 8.50 for safe and secure packing and shipping. Insurance is required and will be based on the sale price of the item. Please
