Rudyard Kipling - The Jungle Book & The Second Jungle Book. First Editions. Macmillan and Co. 1895, 1897, London. THE JUNGLE BOOK. With Illustrations by J. L. Kipling, W. H. Drake, and P. Frenzeny.THE SECOND JUNGLE BOOK. With Illustrations by J. Lockwood Kipling, C.I.E. [Together, two volumes.] Original blue cloth pictorially decorated in gilt, all edges gilt. A nice set of early printings of Kipling's most loved work. Both books have all pages present, including the tissue guard in The Jungle Book. I tried to get the photos to show the wear to both volumes. The cloth covering the spine has pulled away from The Jungle Book and there is some discoloration and bumping to corners as well. The Second Jungle Book is in better shape save for some foxing internally. Both volumes are cocked.Low starting bid with no reserve.
