RUNESKULLbyMagiCurios (No longer available - Sold out on the site) "I was travelling through the south eastern parts of South Africa commonly known as the Transkei region. Rather beautiful but very rugged and difficult to traverse. I happened across an old sangoma (witch doctor) who told me the legend of the Tokoloshi, small evil sprites that roamed the rural areas of Southern Africa in a time when the belief in the ancestors was still strong amongst the local Xhosa people. Of course I was sceptical until the witchdoctor presented me with this small box (which I subsequently bought). The box is opened to reveal 6 miniature skulls. These skulls are purported to be those of the tokoloshe. T have been a lot of requests to bring back into production the "Runeskull" effect. This is the effect based on the classic Abbotts apparatus adapted for the very bizarre performer. It's the dark tale of the evil sprite of Southern Africa, the Tokoloshe! The Spectator selects one of the skulls purported to have belonged to an evil African sprite, the Tokoloshe. Each is adorned with a protective Yoruban symbol. The skulls are placed on the tray and a pentacled chalice is locked in place in the centre. The tray is covered with a cloth and placed on the table in front of the spectators.
