A. G. Russell AL MAR "Ultralight" Knife Vintage "First Production Run" I have up for sale one of my all-time favorite knives that I have collected, and I have collected for over sixty years. Started collecting at ten years old and I am now in my seventys. I bought this A. G. Russell AL MAR "Ultralight Falcon" Knife, about thirteen years ago from my favorite knife dealer, (AG Russell), and who can describe this better then AG himself. So if I can quote from his 2000 Christmas Catolog. (Start of quote), "Gary Faldon, a fellow Green Beret and friend of Al Mar's has taken charge of the AL Mar company. He is fousing on the best made, and best selling ultralight designs. These knives are made with 'linerless" black linen micarta handles which I, (AG Russell), [added by me to let you know who "I" is], pioneered and designed in the early 1970's. A great way to make a strong lightweight folding knife. These knives have handles of the finest black micarta, and have flat ground drop point blades, of AU58A at 57-59Rc (razor sharp) with a thumb stud for quick and easy opening. The larger Falcon comes with a removable and reversible pocket clip", (end of quote). If I may add that this knife is the larger and in my opinion nicer "Falcon". A 4" folder with a 3 1/4" flat ground blade which is 1/16" thick and 5/8" wide. Weighs only 1.5 oz. read more
