6" Russian Girl with Shawl Soviet Union Stockinette Cloth USSR 1920-30s In the late 1920s and early 1930s a series of wonderfully made all cloth stockinette dolls was made representing the peoples of the newly formed Soviet Union They are shown in several doll collector books, such as: Shown here in a page from the 1941 Kimport Doll Company catalog This doll is called "Girl with a Shawl"
