BMP-1 – Soviet Infantry Armored Fighting Vehicle – 1/35 The BMP-1 was the first armored personnel carrier to enter service with the Red Army and was introduced in 1967. The vehicle is crewed by three men and can carry an additional 8 infantrymen. The carrier is fully amphibious and has a full range of NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection and night vision equipment. This is DML Kit #35038 made in Hong Kong sometime in or after 1991. The kit consists of a separate lower hull piece, 2 trees of light gray plastic tank parts, 2 trees of individual track links, and a decal sheet for vehicles from the USSR , Syria , Finland , Poland , Czechoslovakia , Hungary , and E. Germany . The kit includes one commander figure. The 8-page instruction sheet is written in Japanese, German, French, English, Italian, and another Asian language. They include a history of the BMP-1, a paint chart, 8 illustrated assembly steps, parts maps, and line drawings showing colors and decals. An additional info sheet shows markings for Iraqi tanks and BMPs. The parts bags have never been opened and the box is in, at best, fair condition with one corner partially torn.
