Attention Alumni! 1966 First Edition Rutgers: A Bicentennial History Here is a very rare vintage hardcover book that would be a fantastic addition to a collection! You are bidding on a rare vintage hardcover book titled Rutgers: A Bicentennial History. By Richard P. McCormick. Published by Rutgers University Press, 1966. This is the First Edition. Book is a detailed account of the history of Rutgers University. Illustrated with great photos. The book has great provenance. There is a bookplate on the front flyleaf. It is a special Rutgers State University bookplate with the name Dr. Hyman B. Copleman '29 on it. Dr. Hyman B. Copleman, who for 50 years was the physician for Rutgers University athletic teams. He died in 1986 at St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J. He was 76 years old and had lived in Cranbury, N.J. Dr. Copleman was also the medical director of Johnson & Johnson's surgical dressing plant in New Brunswick and assistant clinical professor at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, also in that city. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers in 1929 and received his medical degree at Rush Medical College of the University of Chicago. Book features black cloth binding with titling on spine. Covers are securely attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. The book has 336 pages, all clean and tightly read more
