Neill, Chicago & New York: The Reilly & Lee Co., (1930).The points of each of the Oz books were identified using Hannf, Greene, etc, Bibliographia Oziana, Revised & Expanded, 1988. For this book see pp. 96 & 97.First Edition, and appears to be in the first state: bound in black stamped brick red colored cloth with pictorial illustration on front cover, pictorial self-endpapers in black and white, gatherings called for in16 page groupings except the penultimate which is supposed to have 24 (the gatherings are difficult to be sure of but the penultimate group here appears to be in 16 pages which does not seem possible given the total of the pages [275] is the same),12 full color inserts, tipped in at the stated locations with paper stock coated on both sides (correct), spine imprint correct, leaf size is ca. 9 x 6 5/8 inches, thickness of volume is ca. 1 1/4 inches (all correct).There are a couple of small holes in the top front gutter and some noticeable edgewear. but the condition overall is very good.Note: this item includes free shipping.
