This is a lovely collectable signed piece by David Sharp for Rye Pottery.In excellent condition, hand made, hand painted and signed on the base by David Sharp. I believe dates to the 1940s/1950s.Black on green colouring, the texture of the vase is wonderful, as the pattern is made by painting through the colours (difficult to explain, but it looks like the colour is applied, the green, then black is painted over it, to give it the texture).Ridged inside and out, showing it was hand made. There are a couple of digs out of the rim base edge, but these must be from production, as the colour of the vase is inside, so not damage (the bottom picture right hand side).6 1/4in high4 1/4in diameter across the top I POST MONDAY TO FRIDAY'S PLEASE READ TO AVOID CONFUSION AFTER BIDDING!
