This auction is for a Silver 1916-D Mercury Dime from the United States graded G Details - Graffiti by PCGS (4906.98/33094228). The graffiti designation is for some scratches/file marks on the Obverse from about 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock behind the Mercury's Head, and more scratches/file marks between 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock on the Reverse (they go from "D" in "Dime" to "UN" in "UNUM"). This coin has weak rims but is still considered a Good by PCGS. The date and mint mark are fairly clear and since it is slabbed, is guaranteed by PCGS to be an authentic coin. This is the KEY DATE coin of the Mercury Dime series and is missing from most collections that we purchase. Here is an opportunity to finish your set with a reasonably priced coin.
