A superbly executed large format antique chromolithograph entitled, U.S. ARMY - SIEGE AND BARBETTE GUNS, FORT HASKELL-1865 . Part of the Siege of Petersburg, Virginia during the U. S. Civil War. From " The United States Army And Navy " by Lieutenant - Colonel A.Wagner and Commander J.D.Kelley which details the history of these two forces from revolution to the end of the Spanish - American war. This an original chromolithograph print published in 1899 by The Werner Company and not to be confused with later issues or reprints. Very fine, virtually unmarked condition with bright, rich colouring. Measuring approx. 13" x 9" (330mm x 230mm) image area only with titled margins beyond , perfect for framing.
