The C&S 4 wheel crummies were originally built with a flat roof for the DSP&P between 1879 and 1883. In 1889 the DSP&P was reorganized by the Union Pacific as the Denver, Leadville and Gunnison Railroad and in 1899 was merged with the Union Pacific, Denver and Gulf Railroad to become the Colorado & Southern Railroad. They were rebuilt and upgraded at a later date with the addition of cupolas. Can be converted to On30 by pressing the wheels to the correct gauge.
