Military Issued Vintage Original M5 A1 - MILPAR COL Bayonet & US M8A1 Scabbard Blade Length 6 1/2" You are bidding on a very nice vintage Military Issued M5A1 MILPAR COL Bayonet with US M8A1 Scabbard; Korean War Era. This bayonet is marked "U.S. M5A1" on one side, and "MILPAR COL" on the other side. Marks are all crisp and easy to read. See pictures for detail. Blade length is approximately 6 12", and overall length is approximately 11 1/4". Condition: This item is very good condition; guaranteed original. Handle (hard plastic or bakelite) is tight with no major scuffs, scratches, chips or cracks (only slight wear evident). Handle screws have no evidence of being removed and/or tightened. Blade retains the original black / parkerized finish. Blade shows minor scuffs and scratches, and some sharpening marks. Scabbard is from same vintage and appears to have been issued with the bayonet. Belt clip and mechanism is intact and works well; no bends. Original military green paint is evident on base of scabbard. Scabbard shows good combat use and wear. The overall condition of this set is very good.
