U.S. Mint Medal No. 620 King George II Indian Peace Medal 1.75" BronzeThis medal was originally struck in, or around, 1757 by Edward Duffield, under a commission from the "Friendly Association for Regaining and Preserving Peace with the Indians by Pacific Means". It is believed to have been one of the first medals struck in what was then the British Province of Pennsylvania. This is the modern U.S. Mint re-strike, which has not been available from the Mint since the 1980s. Struck in Bronze, it is 1.75" (44 mm) in diameter.The medal in the photos is the one being offered.
