This is a fine 2 5/8" Worked Back Pen Knife in deep rich Mother of Pearl, produced by S. Shaw of Sheffield England. Mr. Shaw is Sheffield's last working "Lil'Mester" who can produce this quality of knife from start to finish, all in his own shop. Knife contains his signature file work, down the back spring and on to both blades. When the knife blade is open, the pattern is flawlessly matched w hitting the blade, and continues down the blade as far as can be worked. One blade has a little more snap than the other on this knife, but that does not detract from the value. Mr Shaw's knives do not appear on Ebay often, and this one is from our own private collection. If you ever wanted to own an example of his fine work, don't let this one slip away. A fine quality custom made knife offered for sale as shown and described, fit for those who demand the best. Natural materials (stag, horn, wood, etc.) are a dynamic product, not static; This means that they will move when exposed to a different enviornment. In addition, natural materials as well as mother of pearl, may have slight imperfections. Any advanced collector knows this, and you should too. 4.
