Up for auction is a really cool small teapot from Sadler. It is small--approximately 3 5/8 inches tall, and 4 3/8 inches from handle to spout--and it is unusual in that it has a very short spout. My best guess is that it was designed to be stored in limited space (maybe for use in a restaurant?), but that is just guesswork. The gold swirl design is complemented by gold handle, spout, finial, and rim. The gold is pretty intact; there is some loss of the gold on the top of the finial, and along the upper edge of the spout. (Note: The third photo, because of reflection, makes the gold loss look more extensive than it really is.) The bottom has raised lettering that says, "The Exacon," then some letters and numbers that look like TA-15605 (?) and "Sadler Burslem England" and a large C. The numerals 2257 are painted in gold. This piece is in very good vintage condition. The inside is clean and has a pattern of strainer holes in the spout area. Please refer to the photos for details. I will be listing quite a few pieces of jewelry, pottery, and home decor in the next few weeks. Please check back to see new additions. Thanks so much for looking at my auctions, and good luck bidding! If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email.
