ST-LO 7 July – 19 July 1944 First printing by the Historical Division U.S. War Department Condition very good printed 21 August 1946 mark on cover upper right, tight spine includes all 7 foldout maps in back all intact as another foldout map between pages 84-85, very clean interior, 54 illustrations, additional 22 maps within. A total of 128 pages front and back covers have some wear and the first five pages are bent upper right where cover shows the same crease, please see images provided. Measures 8” x 10 1/4” FYI: on the Historical Series, it is not the date first issued or date of the letter in the first few pages that qualifies a first printing, look for the date in small print at or near the back of book. 1st year prints are as follows: Bizerte 1943-Salerno 1944, Papau, Volturno, Winter Line, Merrill's, -1945, Makin, Admiralties, Guam -1946, St-Lo, Small-Unit Actions-1947, Anzio, Utah, -1948. If you are unable to find the date as it is hard to locate at times, there is in fact is another way to determine year of print. Scattered throughout the book at various intervals are a series of numbers, the middle two digits will always be the publication year.
