If you have ever slipped a tiny creamer into your bag...and find that you're still absolutely fascinated with the idea of antiquated diners and country clubs then you probably know Vintage Mayer China Restaurant Ware. During their heyday, the list of venues on their restaurant ware was almost limitless, it could easily be found gracing the tables of some of the finest restaurants and grand hotels in the United States.Relive that Golden Era as you run your fingers along the historical logos of this Mayer China 9" Salesman Sample Plate. Your certain to hear the soft rattle of the railroad car, picture the crisp white linen tablecloth, or beckon the bell boy as you imagine what stories this plate could tell. Adorned with 26 different pattern logos and numbers, including US Steel, Eaton's Ranch, The GE Athletic Association, and California's legendary Hotel del Coronado, this hard-to-find plate in is good vintage condition. The back stamp is easily discernible and reads Mayer China EST. 1881. There are no major chips, however, numerous superficial scratches are apparent and are throughout the surfaces of the plate, all consistent with the age and use of the piece as a salesman's sample. This little piece of Mayer China history displays wonderfully and would make a very nice addition to anyone's restaurant ware collection.Joseph and Ernst
