Salt Water Taffy was about as much about growing up at the Jersey Shore...as it was about good pizza....living in Florida now I look back at my days of growing in Asbury Park and living the boardwalk life at night...with rides and amusements...cotton candy...and of course a plethora of candy stores churning home made taffy for spectators...big huge vats of pastel colors that rocked...colors that became known to me as "taffy colors"....anyone who's worked with me knows that using candy as color descriptions is a big part of the "Brian" color wheel :) A long recovering candy junkee ..Ive spent enough time and energy on it that I may as well have made it part of my color wheel....Ive been known to describe colors as "like candy necklace colors...you know like a watermelon jolly rancher...ummm sort of like the shade of yellow in laughy taffy....like a delicious warm dove chocolate"....and then t is the taffy colors...which is my color wheel goal of my next house....I want all shades of taffy whites....you know like the palest colors mixed in the taffy...like a tinge of yellow in white paint...I often wonder why these staples of thought have become so much a part of my life...and I have to say...we love what we love...mine is candy...and what perfect time to go raid a good home made candy store for easter...its my one day to indulge....a day Ive been stocking up for a month :)This panel reminds me of taffy....complete taffy colors...taffy made with peppermint white...chocolate brown....lemon yellow...with pale gray accents...a really nice heavy weave of barkcloth...all cotton for all you cotton snobs :) Its a drapery panel that is hemmed and all ready to hang...except it doesn't have a header...it once had pleats that have been removed and was hung by simple round ring clips...washed and clean and in immaculate condition...I have a exact match to it for sale too in my ebay store. Measures 44 wide x 80 long. Marked "Design Devon A Joanna Fabric Vat Colors Pre Shrunk"....
