Rives Paper Year: 1960 This is not a reproduction, copy, reprint...but the original woodcut issued for the Divine Comedy Set published by Jean Estrade/les Heures Claires) According to Albert Field it took from 1959 - 1963 when engravers carved the more than 3500 wood blocks used to create the 100 woodcuts for The Divine Comedy. Reference: Michler/Lopsinger 1129. This original woodcut can be referenced in both the Albert Field guide (pages 189 - 202) and in Michler/Lopsinger (pages 102 - 114). Both of these references are the standard reference guides for original prints by Salvador Dali.
