There is great spiritual depth and an air of mystery in Dali’s highly symbolic artistic rendering of the many religious elements associated with the this moment of Devine Grace. The central figure of Jesus is translucent, symbolizing the Holy Spirit, through Whom is visible the Boat of Salvation waiting to transport our souls to a new beginning and eternal peace. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No man cometh unto the Father, but through me”, ...John 14:6. The hands of Jesus are held aloft - one beckoning us to Him, and through Him the Father; the other beckoning the Father through Him to us. All life forces surge through His body, cleansing and purifying the souls of all who believe Him. Illuminating the scene with the glow of supernatural lights is the window of Eternity made manifest as a dodecahedron consisting of 12 pentagons, symbolizing the 12 months of the year, 12 signs of the Zodiac, and the Holy Communion of the 12 Apostles of Christ.
