Up for auction is a very rare Salvino, No. 16 of only 25 autographed Babe Ruth figurines. I bought this from Salvino approximately 1997 but decided it was too nice to display so it has been kept in its original wooden box since I first opened it and saw how fabulous it is. It has been removed solely for the purpose of taking these pictures.This figurine comes in a (heavy) locking wooden case. I believe it is oak. Each piece inside the box comes in its own black velvet bag, right down to a small embossed bag for the little bat!The certificate of authenticity is in two (2) parts, which are framed in a folding black leather case. One certificate is an attestation of the authenticity by the forensic document examiner retained by Salvino, and the other is a certification signed by both Rick Salvino and Wayne Salvino.It was my intention to obtain the matching Lou Gehrig when it became available, but I never did. Whoever has the No. 16 Gehrig may want this item.Shipping is continental U.S. only and will be $50.00. I have not shipped a figurine in a couple years, and this one is MUCH heavier to to the wooden box and the cost of insurance. If shipping turns out to be less, I will refund the difference.
