Description: This is a superb, unused, vintage (c1910 - AZO) real photo postcard depicting a makeshift depot at Sandrock, Wisconsin, constructed from an abandoned railroad car. The card depicts an array of men and women standing outside the depot at the height of winter, with several packaging crates and baggge on the left, and a building in the background. Sandrock is a ghost town near the towns of Ironwood, Michigan, and Mercer and Manitowish and what is now Schomberg County Park in Wisconsin. I'm not sure what railroad ran past this spit of a town, but it is long gone. Publisher/Photographer: Unknown. Condition: The card is in NEAR FINE , UNUSED condition, with minor edge and corner wear (see scan). Postmark: None. Text: None. To: None.
