Large mold blown glass hat whimsey in blue glass. Unusual color and large size make this piece unique. It measures 8 inches across brim and is 6 1/2 inches across the otherdirection. It stands about 4 inches tall. It has a folded rim edge and a rough pontil scar on bottom. It has no chips, cracks or repairs. It does have some to be expected wear to bottom. It is unmarked but believed to be Sandwich glass by the mold design. I may be wrong and it could any other 19th Century glass company that made this type mold blown glass.
