This is an extremely rare Santa Fe Passenger Train Equipment book, Volume 1 of Head End Cars written by Joseph W. Shine and Frank Ellington. This is a large paperback book (12" x 19.5") that describes all the ATSF Headend cars from 1870 - 1971. The book is in excellent condition with no loose pages or water damage. There is some minor rubbing on the back cover. I bought this book a number of years ago and have not seen another one since. The Original Whistle Stop says this is a better reference book than the one published by the Santa Fe Historical Society. Do not let this classic book get away.
