Beautiful piece of history that you can wear, with a story. 4 Reales shipwreck coin from the ship Sao Jose. The ship wrecked in the year 1622. The coin was also graded by the number 1 grading company, NGC. It was graded as a grade 2 which is the second best grade with shipwreck coins. The detail is awesome, the coin was graded with Shipwreck Effect, meaning that is tests to be from the bottom of the ocean floor for some period of time. The coin has not been altered in any way. The bezel is designed around the coin, the piece is hand crafted. I carved the pirate from a high temp aluminum material. It is then cast in a mold and poured in solid 14kt. Gold. The bezel is also solid gold and the stones are real. They are taken from jewelry we melt down and used in the pieces. The coin is a little more than 9 grams and the gold is a little under 7 grams. This would be the prefect Christmas present for that history buff. This is a beautiful wearable piece of history with a story.
