Dispite my poor photogrophy, this Original poster is exploding with colors. This poster was in the Posters Please auction in NYC the weekend of Hurricane Katrina and most posters did not sell, with a reserve of $1200. Paul Berthon's most famous lithograph-a portrait of Sarah Bernhardt-world renowned actress, in the title role of La Princess Lointaine-The Faraway Princess, which she first played in 1894. In this design Berthon transformed her costume tiara into real irises framing her idealized face. This is the LAST TIME I will list this poster as it will be picked up and sold at an auction in Chicago in 2 weeks..A steal!!
