Bavarian Style Outfit for Easter display In the past, children in Germany dressed in their National costumes for special celebrations like Easter and Christmas. Sophie's Bavarian outfit is coordinated to the copper and gold roses on the vintage braid of her cap. The cap is made from forest green corduroy. The dress is a cotton with gold tracery around the flowers and leaves. Striped apron, edged with a cream vintage lace, is a Laura Ashley cotton, and ties at the back. Sophie's under-drawers are from the same cotton and edged with a vintage cotton lace. The elbow length blouse is bound at the neck and edged with the cotton lace at the sleeves. An under-skirt of cream calico gives body to the dress and adds to the layered look. All items carefully made in our smoke free and pet free home.
