Satin stitch embroidery pillow front 1920's roses poem Beautiful satin stitched roses and violets ready to be framed or made into a pillow. Someonr made this for my mother in the late 20's early 1930's and it is very pretty but I have no w to put it.On the edge it reads No.4365 Fred Herrschner 6457 Marshfield ave. Chicago Ill. so I'm sure it was a patterned piece that they ordered by catalogue. It is on a heavy almost drapery weight material. They had colored in the heart and it has faded a little but reads Roses are Red Violets Blue Both are sweet so are you. Has a few light aging spots down by the printing but does not take away from the beauty of this piece at all. Didn't want to do anything to it as my mother just had it packed in her chest for all these years and is in very good shape overall. The fabridc piece overall measures 21"x20". Great piece to add to your collection or to actually make up and use.
