Designed for a French-style mansion, this spectacular creation embodies the lush luxury and rich elegance of the 18 th century. Created by a top NYC workroom as a portiere (door drape) - it works equally well for a window - its finished size is 102" W. by 138"L. In a Louis XV design ivory-cream silk damask (see photos 2, 3 and 6 for color) and embellished with gorgeous custom trim, the rich profusion of tassels runs down the right side and all along the hem. Lined with poplin and interlined with flannel for that lush full look, its heading of gentle pleats, if you wish to change it into something else -are easily reopened. Its 102"width (two panels wide) and 138"(11 feet 6 inch) length give you many options... Enjoy it as is. Or divide it into two drapes. Open the heading and turn it into... A magnificent table covering. A King Size Bed Coverlet. An almost floor-length Queen Bedspread ( enough for bolsters, too.) The silk damask is also perfect for upholstery and so is the trim!
