It has been made by Ajin Precision (the Korean company that has made the majority of N Scale brass locos for Overland Models. It is powered with a skew wound motor with flywheel drive -- and is fully DCC compatible. It is packaged in an attractive "executive" lined case. Locomotives are DCC compatible, include standard NMRA N-Scale Couplers and can easily be converted to magnetic knuckle couplers - All Metal Bodies - All Metal Chassis- Flywheel Drive- State of the Art Detailing- DCC Ready Wiring Brand new in the box. Model Number # 7621 The workmanship is unparalleled, incredibly meticulous and the attention to detail is mind-boggling That is an engine that I would say belongs to a timeframe around 1890-1900, though some may have survived in service for some time after that. Up until the 1880's roughly, the American was the standard engine for both freight and passenger jobs. But then they started experimenting with the number of and diameter of drivers, and discovered that 2-8-0's and such were better for moving freight, which was getting heavier. Thus, this engine would be a light passenger engine most likely, as it coexisted with 2-6-0's and 2-8-0's purpose-built for freight duties.
