SCALEXTRIC C2738 DODGE VIPER COMPETITION COUPE. (RARE ROB FOSTER) w/LIGHTS, MIRRORS/SPOILER You are bidding on a wonderful opportunity to buy this used but rare Scalextric Dodge Viper, which is modelled on the vehicle driven by the US Driver, Rob Foster in the 2004 SCCA. Foster only raced in two rounds of the SCCA but came a respectable 14th out of 34th competitors in one of the races This vehicle can often be found missing wing mirrors, the rear spoiler or the windscreen wiper (or should that be windshield wiper???), but all a present and in perfect condition here. IT MUST BE NOTED THAT ONE OF THE WING MIRRORS HAS BEN REPLACED USING GENUINE REPLACEMENT PARTS, BUT THERE IS A LITTLE GLUE RESIDUE ON THE CAR BODY. The windows and interior mouldings have no cracks or other damage. The tyres are in good grippy condition. The 1/32 car is superbly styled and has dynamic detailing stunning car. The fine detailing and crispness of detail and decoration is, as you expect from Scalextric, the best in there is. The only other fault I can find with this vehicle is that the horizontal bar across the front radiator is missing, but this is hardly noticeable, and you would not notice anything unless you knew it should be there in the first place. THE IMAGE BELOW IS OF THE ACTUAL VEHICLE AS RACED BY FOSTER, AND IS FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES SO AS TO HIGHLIGHT THE AMAZING ATTENTION TO DETAIL SCALEXTRIC HAVE INCLUDED ON THE AUCTION ITEM. Fitted with brand new quick change braids and also automatic return system guides which return to a central position making it easier to relocate the car on the track after it has gone off. The head lights and tail lights are all fully functional and the car has neodymium magnatraction is fitted. The front-mounted motor and runs like new when power is applied. Although racing Slot cars is tremendous fun, the excitement really starts to happen when the room lights go off and cars with lights are put on the track. As with driving a real racing car, you must drive within the capabilities of the headlights on your chosen car. This does make interesting racing as the most adventurous drivers may just try to gamble and go that little bit faster than they should. The headlights are tested and working, and the vehicle is also fitted with tail lights that illuminate red when power is applied. Head and tail lights are excellent for dusk and night driving as they add real dynamic behaviour to the cars and the race. Great skill is required to negotiate the circuit…who will be the last to brake for that sharp bend ahead??? Neodymium magnatraction gives the car incremental downforce and grip allowing it to stay on the track at higher speeds and gives improved high speed stability and cornering ability. The race is far more exciting as the cars speed around corners and accelerate away down the straights. The car slows for corners more sharply too, giving the race real energy. But be careful, when the magnet loses attraction to the steel guide rails the car becomes a real handful! The Neodymium Iron Boron magnets have a gauss level which is typically 2-4 times higher than standard Alnico magnets. The magnets are nickel-plated for improved corrosion resistance and appearance. The racing gets faster and faster......How fast dare you want to go? NOTE - THE VEHICLE IN THE LISTING PHOTO IS THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING ON.
