This is a beautiful and iconic accordion from the famous Italian makers Scandalli: The Butterfly Model. It has been in my family since the 1930's, when my fathers Uncle used to play it in London Cinemas. This is a reluctant sale, however the accordion is a potential museum piece or an instrument that could be played and cherished by someone. It has been safely stored in its case and barely played for the last 30 years which is a shame really. It is in mint cosmetic condition and plays well, however it could probably do with some kind of servicing considering the length of time in storage, although I am no expert. It is in remarkable condition for it's age and even has the original leather straps. The original custom made case has definitely seen better days though. The instrument is stunningly beautiful with a large butterfly motif on the facade and features mother of pearl keys. It has the standard 41 keys and 120 Bass/Chords buttons. It is well made in the old fashioned style and considerably heavy. Good Luck on bidding for this beautiful instrument from a bygone era.
