SCARCE...COMPLETE CIVIL WAR PERIOD CHESS SET...ORIGINAL BOX Complete set of 32, hand-turned, hand-tinted, wood chess set. Hard to find complete. In its own slide top wooden, machine-made dovetail traveling box. The pieces have been mildly used and show only minor scuffs and smooth edges. The king stands 3-1/2" tall and a pawn measures 1-3/4". The rest of the pieces size up accordingly. The chess case has been used but is still in very good condition. It measures 7-1/4 " by 4-3/4" by 3-1/4".
