A scarce Edwardian era bug hatpin in metal and paste circa 1901-1910. The realistically shaped bug/beetle is very well detailed in stamped metal, t is an oval shaped amethyst coloured paste stone to the lower section of his body with four green pastes, two on each side set on his wings and he has two red stones for eyes. On the underside is a long thistle shaped finding/finial that connects to a 11-1/2 ins long steel pin. The top measures 1-1/4 ins across by 2 ins deep. The hatpin is in good condition, the metalwork is well defined and has a patina giving it good definition. All the paste stones are in position with no chips or scratches. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this piece. In fairness to all possible bidders I do not reveal reserves or end items early on a 'Buy it now'. I add the following for your protection because t are scams around, do please be aware this listing is for a one of a kind item, so t is definitely no possibility of a second chance offer. If you do get such an offer as an under bidder it would not be from me and you should not reply to it. Shipping costs $10:00 this includes full insurance. Buyers from the U.K shipping costs £5:00 including insurance. Thanks for looking and good luck if you decide to bid.
