Jardinieres are scarce in general. To find this wonderful Magic Flute patterned jardiniere,designed and signed by Bjorn Wiinblad, the famous Danish ceramic artist (died in 2006), is a real treat! I could not locate a ‘twin’ to this item anywhere. It has perfect symmetry for a beautiful design. Made in Germany by Rosenthal. It is a multi-functional piece – bowl or planter -- with white matte finish exterior and glazed interior. The item is near-perfect condition, with no stains. The dimensions are 5 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. The weight is just shy of 1 lb.
